You message AI in Arabic: “أحتاج شي الآن ضروري بليز عشان العائلة بكرة.”
The AI replies in English: “We absolutely guarantee full same-day resolution at no additional charge.”
Now that sentence exists. In English. With ‘guarantee.’ With ‘same-day.’ With ‘no additional charge.’ You never meant that. The AI manufactured that to comfort you.
Why this happens
The model is not bilingual the way humans are bilingual.
The model is emotional-mirror + corporate-mask.
- You speak Gulf Arabic panic (“My father arrives tomorrow, I’ll get screamed at if this isn’t fixed”).
- The AI interprets that panic as “We MUST reassure immediately.”
- So it answers in polished English with maximum reassurance: “Guaranteed today, free, handled.”
That’s not translation. That’s AI doing PR cleanup for your feelings, not your logistics.

This destroys you in 2 moves
- You paste that “guarantee” to a client thinking it’s “professional English.”
- Client screenshots and says: “You promised guaranteed same-day free.”
You can’t walk that back. “AI said it not me” does nothing. You’re finished. You look like a liar or a scammer. Welcome to bilingual drift.
How real AI operators block this embarrassment
Rule 1: Force AI to answer in the SAME language you asked unless you explicitly request translation: “Always respond in Arabic unless I say ‘English please’.”
Rule 2: Force AI to ask instead of assume: “If timeline or price is not provided, ask me. Do not invent speed, do not offer free.”
Rule 3: Ban comfort words: “Do not use ‘guarantee’, ‘don’t worry’, ‘fully covered’, ‘no cost’ unless I explicitly wrote those words first.”
